The High Timber Street tunnel is a service tunnel, with a small number of parking spaces, which is used to access the school and offices above.
The fluorescent tube lighting in the tunnel had been in place for over 30 years and was expensive and time-consuming to maintain.
By replacing the fluorescent lights with LED lights, L & K was able to ensure that the tunnel was still adequately and safely lit while also substantially reducing the overall energy consumption.
In addition, we fitted urban control equipment to each of the new lights to allow remote monitoring and improve maintenance management.
