Tower Place East and West have two modern staircases leading up from the basement to the glass-
covered atrium.
L&K were contracted by the City of London to convert the 52 existing lights on the staircases and a
further 41 lights in the atrium, to LED.
The high-level lights in the atrium were converted with the use of electric scissor lifts, while the
difficult to reach staircase lights required us to install 17 separate scaffolds before the stunning
visual impact of the glass-sided staircases could be fully restored.
